In May 2025, Parents ki Paathshaala hosted its second masterclass, The Story Connection, led by facilitator Apeksha Harsh. This interactive session invited parents to rediscover storytelling as a bridge between generations, a catalyst for emotional growth, and a joyful family ritual—especially in a world dominated by screens and busy schedules.
Opening with the question, “What’s a story that moved you deeply?”, Apeksha set the stage for reflection on how stories help us process emotions and strengthen bonds. She highlighted the benefits of shared reading—boosting language skills, sparking imagination, and nurturing emotional intelligence—and demonstrated how reading aloud with expression, gestures, and character voices can turn it into an unforgettable experience.
Parents explored practical, sensory-rich activities such as letter-writing, role-play, soundscapes, and themed snacks, all designed to bring stories to life. Apeksha encouraged flexible reading routines, from bedtime to balconies, parks, and even train rides, while reminding parents to model the reading habits they hope to instill in their children.
More than a parenting tip session, The Story Connection was a call to reclaim reading as a creative, collaborative, and deeply human practice—equipping parents to raise thoughtful, imaginative children, one story at a time.
