Brief Description -

This Wellbeing Hour creates a warm, safe space for employees to explore the realities of living and working through uncertain times. The session opened with an acknowledgment of current challenges—being away from family, facing constant change—and reassured participants that they could simply listen, breathe, and take what was useful.

The discussion began with understanding stress in crisis, helping participants identify physical and emotional signals and normalize different responses. Through interactive prompts, they rated their stress levels and reflected on early warning signs.

Practical emotional regulation tools were introduced, including naming emotions, grounding techniques, and a guided 60-second breath practice. The session also addressed caregiver stress, highlighting the Circle of Control as a way to conserve energy and focus on what can be influenced.

Participants engaged in a light, awareness-building activity—“Sach Ya Afwaah?”—to tackle misinformation and understand its impact on mental wellbeing. The conversation closed with simple daily anchors like gratitude journaling, mindful stretching, and self-soothing rituals to cope with silence or uncertainty.

The final message was clear: while we can’t always change external circumstances, we can choose our responses—moment by moment—and carry calm into whatever comes next.
