The Learning Hour@Sthir session focused on enhancing our team’s understanding of core cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements. The discussion covered ten critical pillars of cyber resilience: network security, access control, endpoint protection, data protection, email and internet security, software and system security, employee awareness, physical security, incident response, and compliance.
Participants explored practical measures such as firewall updates, multi-factor authentication, encryption, patch management, and phishing awareness training. The session also emphasized the importance of clearly defined incident reporting processes and periodic security audits. Special attention was given to aligning our practices with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)—India’s equivalent of GDPR—which mandates explicit consent for data collection, safeguards individuals’ rights, and sets stringent penalties for violations.
By combining technical safeguards with robust employee training, the session reinforced that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. It encouraged proactive vigilance, adoption of secure work habits, and preparedness for potential incidents. The conversation left participants better equipped to protect not only organizational systems and data but also the personal digital privacy of all stakeholders, aligning Sthir with global standards and the evolving Indian legal framework.
