Overview -

This Wellbeing Hour on Health & Nutrition offered employees an engaging, practical approach to eating well in a busy work environment. The session began with “Let’s Bust Some Myths!”—an interactive quiz that challenged common misconceptions such as skipping breakfast for weight loss, relying on “low fat” labels, or using sugar as the best energy booster.

Participants then explored the science of energy and sugar, learning why sugar crashes happen, how hidden sugars lurk in “healthy” foods, and the benefits of pairing protein, fiber, and healthy fats for sustained energy. A live poll on afternoon snacking habits led to tailored tips, such as pairing coffee with a protein-rich snack to avoid energy slumps.

In the Mindful Eating segment, participants experienced a short guided practice to reconnect with hunger cues, avoid autopilot eating, and improve digestion. The facilitator also shared top grab-and-go snacks for busy professionals, from roasted chickpeas to Greek yogurt with berries.

The session concluded with simple takeaways and swaps—like replacing biscuits with nuts—and one mindful habit: savoring the first three bites of every meal without distractions. Participants left with realistic, easy-to-apply strategies for healthier eating and better energy management.
